Colshaw Hall Wedding

Colshaw Hall is a luxurious and exclusive Cheshire wedding venue. This Grade II listed hall is situated on a private country estate and is owned by the Irlam family. This stunning wedding venue offers you many options to create your perfect wedding day or celebration. 

We were recommended to Jasmine and Josh by a couple whose wedding we photographed back in 2019. It’s such a compliment when your couples love their images so much, they want their friends to have that too.

Although I have photographed weddings at Colshaw Hall many times, every wedding has been so unique; Jasmine and Josh’ special day was incredible and fun-filled from beginning to end. The morning’s preparations for the girls started in the house, and the boys got ready across the estate in The Den; a purpose built room complete with some incredible natural light. Second shooter Wayne looked after the boys while I hung out with Jasmine and her bridesmaids. It was also nice that old friend and resident Toastmaster Ian popped in to catch up while confirm timings with the family.

The ceremony was filled with love, as the couple exchanged vows in front of their loved ones, before heading out into the winter sunshine for group photos. Although there was a chill in the air, the families got chance to catch up with each other in between those necessary formal photographs.

One of my favourite parts of the day is the speeches, where we capture expressions through heartfelt moments, funny anecdotes and sometimes a sneaky surprise or two. This afternoon, it was the incredible Silver Service Singers, a team of undercover waiters. On hand to serve the guests until the point where the time is right that they (along with the room) burst into song and give the guests a wedding to remember. And it was topped off with Best man Jack belting out Nina Simone classic ‘Feeling Good’ to serenade the couple!

The living legend Mr Andy Murphy was on hand for the evening reception to make sure the dance floor got turned up to 11 and the wedding party let their hair down and danced the night away.

A couple of hours after releasing the full gallery, I got a message through from bride Jasmine! Thought I’d post it here to finish off this blog post:
“Just finished looking through them, oh my gosh Chris they are incredible every single one is just perfect, we are so happy we chose you to capture our day! Thank you so much ❤️”
